nginx

Generic https notes

There's a useful cipher suite generator at https://mozilla.github.io/server-side-tls/ssl-config-generator/

Comments

Although Ubuntu 16.04 is straightforward way to have new enough OpenSSL and support ALPN out of the box it can be enabled on other systems as well.

- CentOS/RedHat 7.4 promises new version with support for ALPN and HTTP/2

- FreeBSD comes with support for it out of the box

- You can manually compile OpenSSL and compile HTTPD or Nginx against it on any platform
