Zhuoma bought a chicken for (Chinese) new year, leashed it up in the other bedroom, gave it some rice and a saucer of water and shut the door.
I wasn't expecting this chicken to be with us for so long, and was surprised when I opened the door to check on it and found an egg sitting nearby.
I didn't really know what to do with the egg, and I feel silly and sheltered that I've never seen a freshly laid egg before.
The egg is now in the kitchen, but separate from the other eggs.

What a pretty chicken!

Nice egg
Hey Wesley,
Nice egg!
I have a feeling that you might not have remembered us. We (Jonathan, Naomi, and I - Moo) are the three shivering backpackers who stumbled upon your Tree House cafe in late Dec 2004. Zhuoma invited us to attend her cousin's wedding, but we didn't make it. (Instead we headed to Thailand just when tsunami hit). Naomi, my sister-in-law, went back to Zhongdian in 2005, and looked for you guys. She found the tree house cafe vacant and closed... We thought you moved.
Anyway, all the Tibet-related chaos that has been going on lately made us think of you guys. Jonathan mentioned your name this morning, so I decided to "stalk" you online. We hope that you and Zhouma are doing well.
