A Zen-Like Consciousness of Movement

I took some photos yesterday that I'm looking at now, and several of them have camera shake at 1/100s. I was never extraordinary at shooting rifles, but I'm usually able to take pictures at around 1/50s or 1/60s without problems. I guess this means that I need to try and remember to stay conscious of my breathing and movement all the time when taking pictures, not just at extremely long hand-held exposure times.

I'm curious if it's related to the new style (which I use especially often when taking pictures of people) I've adopted with my current camera of holding down the shutter button and allowing the camera to take several exposures at the same time. Perhaps something about doing that makes me more prone to move the camera during one of the exposures, even if they're all individually short?

Shake

Well I've noticed that one's muscles sometimes shake a bit when they are holding one position - so maybe it's this (muscle shake while you hold the button down on the camera for long periods). You could check it like this I suppose: 1) Take a longish exposure, trying to keep the camera still holding it gently. 2) Take a longish exposure, trying to keep the camera still whilst gripping it with some force in your had. Would be interesting to see which was clearer - I would guess the first.
