What started out as going out to play an hour of ping pong turned into Ben discovering that the ping pong at 金桥 is closed for business, and ended up with him buying a ping pong table for his school. The people from the shop got a tricycle cart to deliver the table -- I walked with him to show him where it was. We carried the table upstairs and they were setting it up when they realized that there was no net. In a classic Chinese move, they said "why didn't you bring the net?" The idea here is that by pinning the blame on me, they force me to walk back to the shop to pick up the net. But I am now familiar enough with this kind of tactic that I was able to fend it off and they agreed to go get the net and bring it.
But the students at the school quickly took over the table so I hung out on the roof with mark for a while and talked about random stuff.
I look forward to more frequent ping pong in the near future!
