There was a well-known TV actor in Hong Kong who suddenly gave up his career, divorced his wife, then became a Buddhist monk in the late 1980s. A few years later he was interviewed by the local newspaper, he basically said he enjoyed his new life since he did not have to worry about so many things anymore. Heard about Yunnan and Kunming, the altitude there is pretty high, they also have great weather throughout the year.
I think you'd just use "啤" instead of "啤酒". We have a alcoholic version of "calpis" or "pocari sweat" here which is called "奶啤". But I have to say I have very little insight into these kinds of things.
I just figured out how to enter Chinese characters recently, so I had no idea how they turned out. It seemed you were at least able to see some of them.

Yunnan is a nice place
Yunnan is a nice place, but I've yet to find a root beer or cream soda for sale.
Re: Yunnan is a nice place
It's tough to translate root beer into Chinese. 树根啤酒 just sounds so weird. Coca-cola on the other hand has a great Chinese name:
可口可乐。

Hi! My Chinese isn't so good, so I don't think I'll be able to read your blog. What do you do in Kunming?

Indeed. Perhaps I should start importing it.
